Construction
A superintendent who cannot open today’s drawing set is a superintendent standing still. We build temporary site networks, harden field devices against heat and dust, and keep the office side of Procore, Bluebeam and your accounting system running. East Valley onsite, nationwide remote.
Overview
The office runs like a professional services firm. The jobsite runs like an expedition. Both are your responsibility.
Start with the trailer. There is rarely a wired circuit, and if there is, it arrives late. We build site connectivity around cellular routers with external antennas, bonded or failover carriers where a single network is weak, and satellite in the remote desert sites where nothing else reaches. When the site is within line of sight of a building you control, a point-to-point wireless bridge is faster and cheaper than a second circuit. Every trailer gets a small firewall, a proper access point instead of a consumer box, and a UPS, because generator power and monsoon storms are hard on equipment.
Then the field devices. Arizona summers put a laptop dashboard temperature past what consumer hardware tolerates, and jobsite dust gets into every fan and port. We standardize on rugged or semi-rugged hardware where it earns its cost, Toughbook-class laptops, rugged tablets, sealed enclosures for anything mounted outdoors, and on protected consumer tablets where it does not. Screens get chosen for daylight brightness. Chargers get specified for trucks. Devices get enrolled in management so a tablet lost off the back of a gang box can be wiped remotely.
The software side is heavier than people expect. Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud and similar platforms are cloud-based but chew bandwidth when a superintendent syncs a drawing set. Bluebeam Revu on a plan-viewing workstation wants real CPU, memory and a large high-resolution monitor, especially when someone is comparing revisions or running takeoffs. Estimating and accounting packages such as Sage 300 CRE, Viewpoint Vista and Foundation are traditional client-server applications with their own performance profile. We build the office around those three workloads instead of buying identical machines for everyone.
Data capture in the field is the risk nobody budgets for. Daily reports, progress photos, punch lists and as-built markups sit on phones and tablets until someone remembers to sync. Photos of concealed conditions have settled disputes. We configure automatic sync to the platform or to managed cloud storage, monitor that the sync is actually happening, and include field data in the backup and recovery plan alongside the office file server.
The office half gets the same treatment as any professional firm: managed Microsoft 365, MFA, EDR, patching and monitoring under Pod Care, with layered security because contractors move large payments and are actively targeted by invoice fraud.

Usually a cellular router with a high-gain external antenna, chosen after checking which carrier actually performs at those coordinates rather than which one has the best coverage map. Where cellular is weak we use satellite, and where the site is within line of sight of a building you control we install a point-to-point wireless bridge, which is faster and has no recurring data cost.
Heat kills consumer tablets left in trucks and on dashboards. We move crews to rugged or semi-rugged devices rated for higher operating temperatures, add sunlight-readable screens, and specify vehicle mounts and charging that do not cook the battery. Where budget matters, protected consumer tablets with a strict do-not-leave-in-the-truck rule can work, but expect a shorter life.
We support the environment they run in and we handle the escalation path to the vendor. For Procore that means bandwidth, sync behavior, mobile device management and account provisioning. For Bluebeam it means workstation specification, licensing, plotter and large-format printing, and Studio session performance over a site connection.
Contractors are heavily targeted because payment amounts are large and vendor lists are long. The technical controls are MFA, DMARC, impersonation protection and alerting on mailbox rules. The process control is the one that actually stops the loss: any change to banking details for a sub or supplier gets verified by phone using a number you already had, never a number from the email.
Yes, and we treat them as part of the site network rather than a standalone gadget. Cameras go on their own segment, with bandwidth shaped so a live view does not starve the trailer, and with clear retention and access rules. Solar and cellular camera units make sense on sites with no power at the perimeter.
Demobilization is planned work. We confirm field data has synced and is in backup, recover and inventory site hardware, close accounts for temporary staff, cancel or transfer connectivity, and stage the equipment for the next mobilization. Gear that walks off a closed site is a cost most contractors absorb without noticing.
Yes, and most clients start there. Managed Microsoft 365, identity and MFA, EDR, patching, server and network management, backup, phones and printers. The field work only pays off if the office side is stable, because that is where estimating, accounting and document control live.
Onsite work is centered on the East Valley and greater Phoenix, including Queen Creek, San Tan Valley, Apache Junction and Maricopa. For jobs further out, we ship pre-configured site kits, support them remotely, and coordinate local hands when something physical is required. Remote support covers all 50 states.
