Estimates & Quotes
We do not quote from a symptom. We find the actual fault or walk the actual network, then put a scope and a price in writing. You approve it before a single hour is billed, and if the job changes mid-way we stop and call you.
How We Price
The rule is simple: you see the number before we do the work, and the number does not move without your say-so.
Most IT frustration starts with pricing, not technology. Somebody quotes a flat fee over the phone without seeing the machine, discovers the real problem is worse, and the bill arrives at double. Or a project is scoped on optimism and the change orders start in week two. We have been in business in Gilbert since 2015, and we have found that the fastest way to build trust is to be boringly transparent about money from the first conversation.
A laptop that will not boot has at least a dozen plausible causes: a failed NVMe drive, degraded RAM, a dead battery or charge circuit, a corrupt Windows update, a bad display cable, liquid damage on the board, or a firmware issue. Those repairs are not the same price, and no honest shop can tell them apart over the phone. So we start with a diagnostic. We tell you the diagnostic fee up front, we do the testing, and then we come back with a specific finding and a specific price.
You then decide. If you approve, the work proceeds at the quoted price. If parts pricing shifts or we uncover a second fault behind the first, a drive replacement that reveals a failing board, for example, we stop, call you, and get a fresh approval. We do not keep working and explain it on the invoice. If you decide not to proceed at all, that is a completely normal outcome and we will tell you honestly whether the machine is worth repairing or whether replacement is the better spend.
Ongoing business support is quoted differently, because the price depends on your environment rather than one broken thing. That starts with a Deep Dive. Our free onboarding assessment. We inventory your workstations, servers, switches, firewall, wireless, Microsoft 365 tenant, backup targets and security posture, and we look at what is actually running versus what you think is running. It is not a sales walkthrough; it is the same audit we would run on day one as your provider.
You get the findings whether or not you hire us. From there, managed coverage is quoted as flat monthly per-user pricing, so your IT line becomes a predictable budget number instead of a series of surprises. No long-term contract is required, you own your hardware and licenses, and the scope is written down so both sides know what is included.
Projects sit between the two. A server migration, an office move, a firewall replacement or a wireless redesign gets a scoped proposal with the phases, the hardware list, the cutover plan and the expected downtime window written out. We would rather spend an extra hour scoping than discover on a Saturday night that the new switch does not have enough PoE budget for your access points.
If you are weighing repair against replacement, our fix or replace calculator will get you to a rough answer in a couple of minutes, and our IT cost estimator helps frame what in-house support really costs versus managed coverage. When you are ready for a real number, get in touch and we will put one in writing.
Estimates, proposals and the Deep Dive assessment are free. You are never billed for asking us what something would take.
The Process
Call, text or send us a short description. For repairs, the symptom and the model. For business IT, how many users and what is currently painful.
A bench diagnostic for hardware, a remote session for software, or a free Deep Dive walk of your environment for managed coverage.
Findings, scope, parts, labor and timeline, in an email you can forward to a partner or a bookkeeper without translating it.
Work begins after your approval. Any change to scope stops the clock and comes back to you before it becomes a cost.
Most estimates go out the same business day we finish looking.

No Surprises
If the approved number is reached and the job is not finished, you hear from us before the next hour is worked. Silence is never treated as consent.
Hardware is listed as hardware. If a job needs an NVMe drive, a power supply or an access point, you see what it is and what it costs.
On older machines we will tell you when the economics favor replacement, even though that is the smaller invoice for us.
Managed coverage does not require a multi-year commitment, and you keep ownership of your hardware and licenses either way.
The Deep Dive is free, and the written findings are yours whether or not you become a client.
Every estimate includes an expected turnaround or project window, plus what would push it out, usually part availability or vendor lead time.
Yes. Talking to us, getting a written proposal and having us assess your environment costs nothing. For hardware repair there is a diagnostic fee that covers the hands-on testing needed to identify the fault, and we tell you that fee before you agree to anything.
Because the same symptom has very different causes and very different prices. A laptop that will not power on could need a fifteen-minute charge port fix or a full board replacement. Quoting blind would mean either overcharging everyone or revising the number later, and we do neither.
We tell you at the point of quoting exactly how the diagnostic is treated against the repair total, so the final number is never a surprise. The important part is that you see the complete cost of the finished job before you say yes.
We stop and call you. You get the new finding, the revised price and the option to proceed, change direction or take the machine back. We never keep working on the assumption that you would have agreed.
Labor scope holds steady, but hardware pricing moves with supply. We note the validity window on the estimate itself, and if a part price changes materially before you approve, we tell you rather than absorbing it quietly or billing it silently.
Yes. Those get a phased proposal covering hardware, configuration, the cutover window, expected downtime and what happens if something does not come back up. Office moves in particular are quoted after a walkthrough of both locations.
That is how we write them. Estimates and managed IT proposals are plain-English documents with the scope, the reasoning and the numbers laid out, so you can forward them without needing to interpret jargon for anyone.
No. Plenty of clients start with one painful area, such as backup or email security, and expand once they trust us. The Deep Dive will tell you which piece is the most urgent, and you can sequence it from there.
