Overview
Hospitality wireless is a density problem, hospitality POS is an uptime problem, and hospitality staffing is an access-control problem. All three run at once.
Guest wireless is judged in the first ninety seconds of a stay. A property at full occupancy has phones, laptops, tablets, streaming sticks and watches all competing, plus staff devices and a growing pile of connected equipment. Density design is different from coverage design: more access points at lower power, tight channel planning, band steering, per-device bandwidth limits so one guest streaming in 4K does not affect the floor, and a captive portal or per-guest key system that does not require the front desk to hand out one shared password. In a hotel, an access point per room or per pair of rooms usually outperforms hallway units fighting through two walls. That survey and design work is our wireless service.
The property management system and the point of sale have to talk. Room charge posting from the restaurant or the spa back to the folio is the integration that generates the most calls, and when it breaks, revenue gets lost quietly rather than loudly. We monitor those interfaces, keep the interface server or middleware patched and backed up, and document exactly what to check when a charge does not post. Platforms differ, cloud property management with a cloud point of sale behaves nothing like a legacy on-premise pairing, so we build the support model around what you actually run.
Back of house is a hardware survivability problem. Kitchen display systems, order printers and terminals live in heat, steam and grease. Standard office equipment fails there in months. We specify sealed or splash-resistant units, mount them where airflow exists, use industrial power protection, and keep spares configured so a dead ticket printer during service is a swap and not a crisis. The same goes for point-of-sale terminals on a bar top, which are exposed to spills every night they operate.
Payments and segmentation follow the same logic as retail, with more networks in play. Guest traffic, staff devices, point-of-sale and payment terminals, door locks, thermostats, cameras, digital signage and audiovisual systems each belong on their own segment. Connected door locks and building systems in particular should never share a network with anything else. We build the VLAN structure, write the firewall rules and document the map. Our security stack layers EDR, DNS filtering and email protection on top.
Finally, turnover. Hospitality runs high staff churn, which makes account hygiene an operational discipline rather than a policy document. Named accounts instead of shared manager cards, same-day offboarding, POS permissions matched to role, and periodic access reviews. When someone leaves on a Friday, their access should end on Friday. That is a density problem, not a coverage problem. At night every guest is in their room with several devices, all competing for the same access points that looked fine with twenty people in the lobby. The fix is more access points at lower power with a tighter channel plan, per-device bandwidth limits, and often a move to per-room units rather than hallway coverage.
Individual is better wherever it is practical. A single shared password means every guest is on the same broadcast domain and the credential never really expires. A captive portal or a per-guest key issued at check-in gives you isolation between devices, an expiry tied to the stay, and far better visibility if something goes wrong.
We support the infrastructure those systems depend on and we drive vendor escalation for in-application issues. That means terminals, kitchen displays, printers, network, internet redundancy, interface servers and the integrations between property management and point of sale. Cloud platforms shift the server load but make your internet circuit far more critical.
Same principle as retail: shrink the scope. EMV terminals with point-to-point encryption keep raw card data off your network, payment devices go on an isolated segment, remote access requires multi-factor authentication, and default credentials are removed from every device including printers and access points. We implement and document the technical controls; validation stays between you and your acquirer.

Named accounts for everyone, no shared manager cards or PINs, role-based permissions in the point-of-sale, and offboarding that happens the same day someone leaves. We also run periodic access reviews, because in a high-churn environment the list of active accounts drifts away from the list of actual employees within a few months.
Yes. Event connectivity is planned separately from house wireless: expected device count, whether presenters need hardwired drops, streaming requirements, and whether the event needs its own bandwidth allocation so it does not affect guest rooms. For recurring event space we build permanent capacity rather than rolling in temporary gear each time.
